Support HPHA

Donation to HPHA

HPHA is a Community Benefit organization and we are heavily dependent on donations of time, talents, equipment, items, and of course - money, from our supporters and sponsors.

Make a Donation!

$
Suggested donation is $25 but any amount will be put to good use. Enter your amount then click the button. This will open a shopping cart in the top right corner - click on the Buy button to check out

The Penrose Strawbridge Restoration is an ongoing project and - as with any home improvement project - cash is always needed! Donations can be made online by credit card using the button to the right. $25 is shown as a suggested amount but a gift in any amount will be put to good use.

Your donation can be made to our general fund which is used to fund restoration, maintenance, and operational costs. Or you may wish to direct your gift to a specific project. In either case, your support is greatly appreciated.

We also accept donations of things that we can add to our collections such as furniture, photos, documents, etc. or things we can sell such as equipment or cars (see below).

We also accept donations of smaller objects that we can possibly sell at flea markets or to collectors that we work with.

Items that we have available for sale are shown at on the For Sale link above. Some of the items that have been donated and either sold or added to our collection are listed in the box to the right.

Donate Cars or Equipment

We have had several members donate old cars to us and this is a great way to not only make a donation but to also multiply its value!

If your car is a real junker then we will pick it up and sell it for scrap. We will provide you with receipt showing the amount we realized which you can then claim as a charitable deduction.

But if your car is not quite scrap then we can fix it up and sell it and this is where the multiplier comes in. HPHA member Ray Janyszek at PJ Auto Repair (418 Caredean in Horsham) will donate his services to bring your car back to life. HPHA will provide you with receipt showing the amount of profit we make on the sale of the car which you can then claim as a charitable deduction

This program is a little different from car donations to larger charitable groups because HPHA handles the entire process and reaps all the award. There is no middle agency or the overhead of a large organization so you are assured that HPHA is getting the maximum value from your gift.

Things we can use...

Listed below are some items that we could use:

Skag

Lawn Equipment is a big need for us. We have a lot of grass to mow pretty much every from spring through fall. The photo at the right from June 2012 shows Pete working on what was one of our better mowers, a 1980(?) vintage Skag that had been previously donated. Unfortunately the Skag has seen better days and is going to need an engine re-build.

Flat Files we have a growing collection of historical documents, maps, etc., that should be best stored flat. These type of files are pretty expensive so if anyone has any that aren't being used, we would love to give them a great home.

Things we can sell ...

HPHA can accept equipment or other things you may wish to donate that we can then either use at the farm, or sell.

Some of the more unusual things we've received have been the 1914 Otto Engine and the Horse Statue which now marks the grave of River Breeze.

We're also happy to take smaller items that we can sell at flea markets or to dealers. Please contact us to discuss.
