History of Horsham Township: Images of America
The History of Horsham Township in the The Images of America Series was edited and written by local architect and historian Leon Clemmer and HPHA. It was published in 2004.
The book is rich in photos and the history of the area from the purchase of what would become Horsham Township by four investors from William Penn, the building of the Keith House and Graeme Park in the early 1700s, our rich Quaker Heritage, Whitemarsh Cemetery, College Settlement Camp, Pitcairn Airfield, and the Willow Grove Naval Air Station.
Some of the highlights are visits by Amelia Earhart (pictured on the cover) in a Pitcairn autogiro, and singer Perry Como playing golf at Hidden Springs Golf Club.
This book is a "must have" for any Horsham resident.
